About the Club

The Tango Club is a Yale student club registered with the university. Actually there are two clubs, the original Tango Club which is registered as a graduate and professional student club (although it has always targeted all Yale students), and also the Undergraduate Tango Club, which organizes undergraduate-specific tango initiatives.

The Yale Tango Club welcomes students and postdocs from other institutions. Come dance with us!

The Tango Club was created by a group of tango-dancing Yale graduate students in January 2003. We're known in the region as a very friendly, young tango community.

We dance every Sunday and often midweek, as well. The Tango Club organizes inexpensive classes for Yale students, postdocs and their significant others. Our classes and workshops with Visiting Celebrity Tango Teachers are a big success! We have real DJs, some of whom play at tango venues around the Northeast. We organize tango field trips to New York, Boston and Providence. The Tango Club CD Library is a fabulous free resource for members.
